ECPE - Speaking - Stage 2 - Alternations




       Most of the Speaking Tests in the New ECPE Michigan Proficiency Test are categorized under three titles: (A) Venues, (B) People and (C) Projects. This means that there is a certain methodology behind the development of each and every one of them. Let's start by observing some basic vocabulary and transformations, regarding.....

(A) Venues

Adjectives: 

BEAUTIFUL --------- picturesque, pictorial, scenic, striking
DIRTY ----------------polluted, foul, filthy, contaminated
POPULAR ------------favorite, well-liked, trendy, beloved, widespread
EXPENSIVE ----------costly, high-priced, extravagant, upscale
LIVELY----------------full of life, active, vigorous
BIG--------------------huge, enormous, vast, immense
SMALL---------------tiny, miniature, petite
FASCINATING------delightful, entertaining, charming, sensational
CROWDED---------- packed, jammed, occupied
MODERN------------contemporary, cuurent, recent, up-to-date
ANCIENT------------Aged, old-fashioned, old, archaic
BUSTLING----- ----hectic, busy


Points of Development:

Capacity:
- One thing to consider is that there is plenty of seating space...
-It is large enough to permit each person to bring up to three guests....
-Everyone will have 5 seats available for their family and friends....
-If we were to construct it here, it would offer us enough space for...
-As for the size there would be space for....

Architecture:
- It consists of three different locations....
-It has a circular theater, which would provide a memorable place to hold the ceremony...
-It is a relatively new building, located in .....
-There are green open areas nearby....
-The venue would be designed so as to have........ 
-It would help to re-develop / upgrade the area....

Access / Location:
-It can be easily reached by public transportation....
-It used to be an industrial/rural area....
-It is not easily accessible by public trasportation...
-The location is clode to.....meaning that people........

Parking space:
- The venue provides ample space for parking....
- There is a shortage of parking space....
-There is a two-level underground garage....

View of the stage:
- Each guest would have a clear and unobstructed view of the stage...

Acoustics:
- It has a state-of-the-art sound system....
- The auditorium has excellent sound quality...

Cost:
- This choice would involve a certain amount of expense for setting the stage and providing a sound system...
- The rental cost would be low....
-Facilities such as air conditioning or recording equipment are provided free of charge...
- It would be expensive to pay the rental fees...... 
- Refreshments would be provided by.....
- Any type of trasportation costs will be covered by......
-It would be economical as the set-up cost is minimal....


(B) People

Adjectives:
