On this particular post, we will examine the presentation portion (i.e. Stage 2) of the ECPE Speaking Examination. In particular, I will be giving you one sample sheet and underneath it one presentation proposal.
Since the main issue of this sample examination revolves around "venues", the terminology changes a little bit. Apart from that, the expressions used for introducing information as well as the methodology, remain the same.

Examiner: Are you ready to begin?
Candidate 1: Yes I am, thank you! I have two possible proposals to present regarding the design for our new town hall.
I will start by talking about the Ultra-Modern Design.
To begin with, the architect undertaking the project is considered famous and legendary at his field. Consequently, the materials used for the construction of the building will follow a modern line. Materials such as steel, brick and glass.
Additionaly, all modern conveniences will be included as well as latest technology security system. A practical yet modern addition to the design is also the external glass elevator.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that, due to the town hall's design a lot of tourists will be interested in visiting the site.
The only drawback is that the construction cost will be extremely high.

My other option is the renovation of an existing Art - Deco building.
To start with, the site already exists, thus it will save the town a considerable amount of money.
On top of that, the residents of the town are in favor of renovating such an important sight, since they are emotionally attached to it.
Finally, by choosing this design, we will be providing the town with a unique town clock!
Unfortunatly, the disadvantage of this design is that the potential building will be able to service a small number of residents.

Examiner: Canditate 2, would you like to make a brief recommendation?
Candidate 2: Certainly! Based on what I have heard so far, I recommend that we chose the Ultra-modern design. I believe that it will be more contemporary, practical and safe for the townspeople.
